Master Tree Care is based in West Sacramento at 3311 1st Street and serves the greater Sacramento region. Because good tree work depends on getting our crew and equipment to your property efficiently — and on giving you a fair, accurate price — we organize our service area into three travel tiers measured from our yard.
Tier 1 — Within 20 miles (our core area)
We handle jobs of any size here, from a single light trim to a large removal. This includes Sacramento, West Sacramento, Davis, Woodland, Carmichael, Rancho Cordova, Fair Oaks, Elk Grove, Citrus Heights, Orangevale, Roseville, and Dixon.
Tier 2 — 20 to 35 miles
We regularly work throughout this area as well. This includes Folsom, Rocklin, Granite Bay, Loomis, Lincoln, Galt, Winters, El Dorado Hills, Vacaville, and Auburn.
Tier 3 — 36 miles and beyond
We're glad to travel farther for the right project. At this distance we're best suited to larger jobs — full removals, multi-tree work, storm damage, or ongoing property care — where it makes sense to bring our crew and equipment the extra miles. For a smaller job like a single light trim that far out, we may not be your most cost-effective option, and we'll always tell you so honestly. Tree Pruning
We prune the right branch, for the right reasons! At Master Tree Care, we shorten limbs enough to avoid large limb failure. Some Tree companies Prune trees improperly, leaving limbs to become too heavy, potentially causing damage to your property or worse.
Tree Removal
When we remove your tree, we try to upcycle to the best of our ability. For large tree’s in the front yard, we take the trunk to a mill, dry it, cut it, and sell it. With smaller wood, we cut it up into firewood and have a free pick up service where you can get firewood at our yard. We try to avoid using the landfills unless needed, upcycling is our goal.
Stump Grinding
When we grind stumps, we go down about 6-8 inches to avoid damage to the home’s water, gas, or electrical infrastructure. Water is about 12” deep, Gas is 18”, and Electrical is 24” down. Your safety and experience is our top priority.
Tree Planting
We plant a variety of trees in Sacramento valley. We believe you plant the right tree, in the right place. We do not plant trees under power lines to avoid future hazards for the property owner. If you want to Transplant your tree, plan December - January for the best results.

Expert Pruning of Fruit Tree and Ornamentals
If there are any issues you need resolved with your Fruit Trees or need pruning of your Ornamentals, we are experts and can help you. We spray Fruit Trees for insects during the proper season. We also do Dormant Sprays, we suggest November, December & February & no later than February 15th.
Free Wood Chip Delivery
You can call to schedule delivery Wood Chips or use our online scheduler. We upcycle and trim the smaller limbs from trees that we remove. Call our office to see if we have a project in your area 916-371-8733.
